Sue started her career in insurance with one of the oldest agencies in Santa Barbara. She went on to work for Blue Cross of CA (WellPoint Health Networks, Inc.) in the Individual and Small Group Sales Department. She served as a Staff VP providing expertise in the Individual market. She was best known for her involvement in developing successful individual products, sales materials and improving agent relations. She was a strong activist for the development of women’s insurance benefits, for the inclusion of the ethnic markets, and for the development of products to improve affordable coverage for the uninsured. She on occasion provides consulting expertise to insurance companies.
She holds a Life, Health & Disability Insurance License. She is a member of the local, state and national professional organization, Association of Health Underwriters. She is a past president of Santa Barbara Chapter and past VP of Membership for California Association of Health Underwriters. She has served as Vice Chair for the Santa Barbara County Workforce Investment Board (2008-2015). She is a member of the Santa Barbara Associates and the University Club. |

Phillip started in the insurance business in Santa Barbara right after graduating from Westmont College. He holds a Chartered Life Underwriting (CLU) designation from American College. His expertise is in the area of life products, employee benefit plans and senior products. Other professionals call upon him in these areas for consultations.
Phil is active in our local Health Underwriters Association where he serves as Legislation Chair providing reports on state and federal health insurance legislation to agents in the community. Phil was on the founding boards of the Santa Barbara Association of Health Underwriters and the state association CAHU. He is a past president of SBAHU and American Society of CLU & CHFC for the Tri-Counties.
He is currently involved in many civic organizations and activities such as Rose Society, CBMC, Elks, Church and Marketplace Ambassador Initiative (Business Forum). |
